Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I Do Every Day
  1. Get up after far too few hours of sleep (if I'm lucky, about 6).
  2. Take a pill for the depression, one for the pain, and one to keep the stress from shorting out my heart again.
  3. Pray.
  4. Spend an hour and a half of my morning driving family members hither and yon.
  5. Huddle under a blanket for an hour or two, quivering from the "breakthrough" pain.
  6. Eat chocolate (usually M&Ms!) to keep the caffeine headaches at bay.
  7. Try not to worry where the money's going to come from to pay the bills.
  8. Pay the bills anyway.
  9. Spend another hour and a half picking people up from various locations in 2 cities.
  10. Take more pain pills.
  11. Try not to cry as I fight off the kids with one hand and fix dinner with the other.
  12. Have prayers and lullabyes with my hyperactive young monkey pirates, then break up fights in their room every 3 minutes for the next hour.
  13. Take one last pain pill and one more for my heart and tumble into bed, whimpering.

Strangely enough, it's not as bad as it sounds.

I think that your most important thing is the praying. :)

Thanks, Carmen. I think you're right.

Without #3, you wouldn't be able to say "not as bad as it sounds". Good for you. And God Bless M&M's

Praying. I do that daily, too. Need to more often... I drink Dr Pepper for caffine, a bit much. LOL

I am with Carmen. Praying is a great thing to do!
Also... the eating of chocolate.
I do that a lot.

Wow.

I read the post about the SVT, scary stuff. Is that where the pain comes from, or do you have some other condition that causes chronic pain as well?

Keep praying, I'll add you to my list.

I believe in prayer too.

Praying is #1...and I know that the pain can be so mind consuming, I've been there! If you ever need someone to vent with...I'm here!I'll be praying for you too! ;)

Happy Thursday, My TT is up!

Thanks, all, for your kind words. Jen, no, the pain is a different thing. Well, several of them. I need to post "13 of my body parts that hurt" or something like that. The short answer is, "It's my back."

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much pain. :( And gee ... I hope you don't pay bills EVERY day ... that's a lot! :)

Awww, I'm so sorry you have so much pain. My mom lives with chronic back pain, along with a million other ailments so I am aware of how it affects your day to day life! Keep praying!

Happy Thursday!

My list is up.

Egad. It sounds hard. But the reason you don't see it that way I would bet is because of #3.

I hope you feel better. Pain is the pits.

Sounds like you do a lot of helping others...who helps you?

I can so relate. At 42 pills a day right now that's all I feel like I do. But surgery is Tuesday and then most of those pills should go away, at least we are praying they do. Hang in there Mom!!!
