Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Perplexing Things about SCONE
  1. I've been eating handfuls M&Ms every day for far too long.
  2. I've also been losing weight for the past several weeks.
  3. I (don't really) attribute this to the Diet A&W Root Beer I drink with the M&Ms.
  4. The same day I realized that the next book in Orson Scott Card's "Women of Genesis" series would have to be about Rachel and Leah, I found the book in our local library.
  5. I cried when I finished it because it was so good, and it was over.
  6. I do this with all of his books.
  7. I hate reading his stuff because he's a brilliant writer (unspoken text: and I'm not).
  8. I'll keep doing this until I die. I'm like the Salieri of the writing world. (Talk about giving yourself airs.)
  9. I was married before, but usually I don't remember that part of my life.
  10. I sometimes forget that I had another child, too. But not as often [as I forget #9].
  11. My mother told me ages ago that I shouldn't have children because I don't like them.
  12. I rolled my eyes the way teenagers do and said, "Only other people's children!"
  13. Turns out I was right-- mostly. I do like other people's kids if they're related to me.

I love Orson Scott Card too. His writing really speaks to me and I fall into the stories so deeply.

I wish I could lose weight off of M&Ms. Well, maybe off of Krispy Kremes.

ok, now I want m&ms. Thanks a lot. ;)

M&Ms everyday and you're still losing weight? Do tell!

I don't understand #10..

okay, so the pile of m&ms I've eaten this morning are going to help me lose weight?

Chana: You're right, I don't have pets because they would be redundant.

Denise: Sorry about the confusion. Edited for clarity.

Everybody: I don't recommend chowing down on chocolate as a way to lose weight, but it doesn't seem to be hurting at this point. And all those wasted years I was a hard-core dieter...

I'm so loving your diet. Are you going to write a book about it? ;)

That really is random and different things about yourself :-)

We all have our ways to loose weight. Mine was 2 long journeys to 3 countrys and getting sick *lol*

I tell my teen daughter not to have kids because she doesn't like them. At this point, she is planning to have only ONE. LONG LONG LONG after college. :)

Great list!
My TT is up.

I hope you'll make an exception for my kid. ;)

Kory: You're my kids' adopted aunt, so that makes your imminent baby girl (and don't think I'm not jealous!) my adopted niece, right? No problem there. :)

You ARE very perplexing! I have three boys but have to work very hard at motherhood. It does NOT come naturally to me, and I knew I was like that when I was 12.

Thank you for stopping by my site! ;)
